Habiendo observado la falta de información y atención personalizada existente para los viajeros con discapacidad, Barcelona- Enabled quiere ayudarles a hacer reservas en lugares seleccionados y aprobados como hoteles, restaurantes, traslados y otras actividades, y así poder disfrutar al máximo de sus vacaciones.
La responsable de Barcelona- Enabled, Mirjam Stibbe, después de trabajar varios años en el sector turístico, y tener un familiar en silla de ruedas, comprobó la dificultad que existía en encontrar alojamiento y servicios adaptados.Fue entonces cuando Mirjam decidió comenzar el proyecto Barcelona-Enabled, asegurándose de que toda información ha sido comprobada y aprobada, dando un trato personalizado a su amplia experiencia profesional.

since Sunday we are back from Barcelona. Our stay in MICs Sant Jordi was very nice. The adapted apartment was really good furnished for wheelchair drivers, we had everything we needed and could enjoy our days there. Even the big loud street in front was not that great problem we thought, we we arrived and we could sleep at all. Barcelona is a wonderful city and we have seen the most big attractions and with our son we often had to pay much less than normal tourists. The people were friendly and helpful to handicaped people and the roads were good the push a wheelchair. I want to thank you for your friendly help.With regards
We had a great journey.The staff was very courteous and helpful.We felt
very comfortable there. The hotel was absolutly perfect for us. We were
suprised about the accessibility in Barcelona and we could also use the
metro. I felt really safe and the citiziens were very friendly and helpful.
We could imagine to travel to Barcelona and Mics Sant Jordi again. And we
will do it.
Many thanks for your help. It was so much easier to book the journey with you, than to do it be my own. Last year we spent hours by hours in searching an accomodation.

We are safe back in Belgium after the long bus trip. I want to thank you once more for the excellent cooperation and the fun activities , everyone has really enjoyed it!
We had a nice time. The wheelchair made a lot of mileage! We have used it from morning till night and my husband went everywhere with us except to Park Güell. He stayed in the wonderful hotel so he could rest. We have often used the metro and it went very smoothly using the elevators. The people are also often very sweet and spontaneously offered their help. We really liked Barcelona. We are now tired but it was definitely worth visiting Barcelona with a the wheelchair

I’ve just returned from 5 nights at the MIC Sant Jordi. The accommodation is the best ever. Excellent access to the Metro and buses in front of the hotel. I will return. On site carers was a bonus, and a very nice restaurant.
Many thanks for the professional help, especially on short notice. I stayed for several days at the Mic Sant Jordi. It is well adapted for wheelchairs and easy to get around with the metro in front of the hotel.
My husband, 25-year old daughter and I just returned from a fabulous 8-day trip exploring Barcelona and environs hosted by Mirjam Stibbe and Barcelona Enabled. It was the trip of a lifetime! Mirjam totally understood and met our needs–I am a wheelchair-user–while at the same time being constantly engaging and informative as she toured us around the city and to towns outside of it. Her knowledge of the history, culture, politics, and everything about the area, and the way for us to best explore it, was impeccable. We cannot thank her enough!

I wanted to (and also on behalf of my mother) thank for the fast and efficient delivery of a wheelchair in the last weekend of April. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this has saved our family weekend . Now my mother remained free from pain and we have seen a lot of of Barcelona together. Both the delivery and retrieval of the wheelchair iwent smoothly . Really great! Thanks for your mediation.
I wanted to thank you for your assistance with the wheel chair for my mother. We had a great tour yesterday and couldn’t have done without it.
It was wonderful in Barcelona , we had a nice holiday and everything was accessible well with my scooter ( bus, metro and tram) also staying in MIC Sant Jordi was a pleasant experience.
We much enjoyed our visit. The accommodation at MIC’s Sant Jordi was excellent. Very suitable for our needs. Most suitable location. We enjoyed the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful – the translation apps on their tablets made up for our limited Spanish! Unfortunately the type of commode/shower chair requested by Angela was not available. The Director apologised and explained. Overall entirely satisfied and we hope to visit again.
Transfers very smooth. Efforts to assist the disabled were impressive in the city – La Pedrera for example.
I would like to thank you for everything you have arranged for our trip to Barcelona . We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The facilities were good, the breakfast delicious and location fantastic . Really nice to have everything within walking distance.
Furthermore, the trapezium was properly installed and the service was fine. The taxi that took us to and from the airport to the hotel was also good. Friendly man who drove very careful not too much back and forth shake me. In short, it was a very successful weekend. I was again so inspired by Spain , that I am seriously thinking about spending the summer with my husband and son on the Spanish coast.
We had nice days in Barcelona. The hotel was very good . And the adapted room , shower and toilet as well. Public transport ( bus and metro) was also well organized in Barcelona with a wheelchair, better than the Netherlands
My first visit to Barcelona was not a big success. This time I used the services of Barcelona-Enabled. We were picked up from the airport with a wheelchair adapted taxi and started my stay already more relaxed than previous ones. The program and hotel that I booked were all completely satisfactory. The next time I come to Barcelona I will definitely book with Barcelona-Enabled again. It saved me a lot of stress.
Joost has enjoyed the holiday immensely. The guide of you deserves a big compliment. She has really made a huge effort. And…watching football on the beach and in a bar.
My trip is now over and I have come back to Finland and rested a while 🙂 Trip was great and all went fine! Thank you very much about transfer organizing! I mess up little when we come to Barcelona and we miss retrievers but it wasn’t big deal. Guys from bus company was great and helped us much.
The hotel you recommended is very good for wheelchair users. Room is big enough and especially bathroom is great. Corridors and roof terrace are also accessible.
Only bad thing about hotel is poor soundproofing in window. Luckily window is to side street so there is not so much noise. But still its problem. Window itself looks fine but obviously weather strips are bad.
Already a week back in Belgium . We have had a very good time in Barcelona .
